Join the SAS Governing Board – Now Accepting Nominations!
The Society for Applied Spectroscopy (SAS) is now accepting nominations for President-Elect, Secretary, and five open At-Large Governing Board Member Positions. Terms begin January 1, 2027. This is your opportunity to contribute to the strategic direction of SAS, strengthen your leadership skills, and connect with a passionate community of spectroscopy professionals.
At-Large Governing Board Member (5 Open Positions)
- Duties include participation in two annual virtual Governing Board meetings and active engagement throughout the year.
- Term: January 1, 2027 – December 31, 2028
Officer Positions (President-Elect & Secretary):
- Eligibility: A member nominated as Elected Officer shall be a Regular Member and shall have served in one of the following capacities within the Society: As a Governing Board Member, Executive Committee Member, Editorial Board member for a Society peer-reviewed journal, Section Officer, Parliamentarian, Chair of a Society committee, in an Appointed Position, or as the Society’s elected Student Representative.
- Duties include participation in monthly Executive Committee calls, bi-weekly Office Calls, two annual virtual Governing Board meetings and active engagement throughout the year.
- President-Elect Term:
Serve as President-Elect: January 1, 2027 – December 31, 2027
Serve as President: January 1, 2028 – December 31, 2028
Serve as Immediate Past President: January 1, 2029 – December 31, 2029 - Secretary Term:
January 1, 2027 – December 31, 2029
